Team and roles

Everybody who builds, runs or supports your applications can work in your organisation. There is no charge per person. Manage people under Settings > Team.

Roles

Role	Can
Viewer	Read everything: issues, logs, performance, metrics, releases and settings.
Member	Everything a viewer can, and triage: resolve, ignore, mute, assign and comment.
Administrator	Everything a member can, and change settings: projects, collectors, storage buckets, alerts, team, domains, API tokens, and the plan.
Owner	Everything an administrator can. The person who creates the organisation is its first owner.

An organisation always has at least one owner. The last owner cannot be removed or given another role.

Invitations

Owners and administrators invite people by email address, with a role:

• Somebody who already has a Bugtail account is added straight away.
• Anybody else receives an invitation by email. It is valid for 14 days and can be resent or revoked from the same screen while it is pending.

An invitation only works for the address it was sent to. Whoever opens it has to sign in or sign up with that address, so a forwarded invitation is of no use to anybody else.

Joining with a work address

Colleagues can also join without an invitation, by signing up with an address at your company domain. They join as members. See Domains.

Removing somebody

Remove takes a person out of the organisation at once. Their Bugtail account stays, along with any other organisations they belong to.
